Online Brainspotting in Denver, Colorado
Rapid relief from anxiety and trauma symptoms.
It can be hard for your nervous system to learn that it’s actually safe when you live and work in a fast-paced environment like Denver. Whether you’re navigating a demanding career or trying to find balance in your packed schedule, virtual therapy fits seamlessly into your week.
Brainspotting uses information from your brain to reprocess and release emotional pain.
How Online Brainspotting in Denver Works
-
You’ll share some information about how anxiety and trauma are affecting your life.
-
I use a visual aid to track how and where you eyes move when talking about the issue you’d like to work on.
-
This step is sometimes referred tp as Focused Mindfulness.
During processing, your brain’s limbic system (aka your the part of your brain responsible for processing and regulating emotions) gets to work.
Some people will notice physical sensations during this process (like temperature changes or moments of tension and relaxation).
Unlike traditional talk therapy, Brainspotting doesn’t require that you talk while you process. Some people process in complete silence, and others may choose to talk a bit throughout.
-
I’ll help bring your attention back into the present moment. If a visual aid was used, I’ll set it aside. I’ll also encourage you to tend to your bio-needs, like taking a bathroom break, getting a sip of water, or stretching.
Some people experience fatigue after a Brainspotting session, while others feel alert. Many people report feeling more at ease after aBrainspottng session as well.
